My kids literally LOVED all of the books. The first books I read were about Smarty Pants. They thought Smarty Pants was funny in all 3 of the stories.

Dry Erase Products for ANYWHERE!

The BIG Joy Cowley Giveaway

I LOVE My New Smead Products!

Find out about these 3 wonderful Smead products I got from shoplet.com. Smead is a great company that has products for wonderful things teachers, like me, need to keep us organized!

I got to review two sets of tab folders. The first set, were Oversized tab file folders.  These folders are not only sturdy, but they are also PINK! Okay, yes I love pink but I also love that they have a larger area to write for the label. How cool is that? Lately, it seems like all I do is look for things...well with these new folders, I will hopefully be able to read the labels easier! Fingers crossed! 


Next, were the 3-in-1 Super Tab folders. These folders are great; not only are the labels largers, they also have lockfit flaps to keep papers secure. 
                      
And finally I got to review one of these 12-pocket Stadium File . How neat is this? This worked awesome with the worksheets my kids complete during centers. What is so neat is that if they are not finished with a page, they put it in the not finished file so they can get it the following day and pick up where they left off. I just love this!

Have You Heard of Geotech Products? Review for YOU!

I was absolutely thrilled when I was contacted by Shoplet.com to review some neat products by Duck! I of course am always looking for new awesome things to use in my classroom.

First up, I have to tell you about this fantastic packaging tape by Duck brand. This tape is by the famous Duck brand so you know teacher's already love this stuff! Well, I was not disappointed with the packaging tape! It worked wonderful on the package I had to return. The tape came out of the dispenser easily so no time was wasted on tugging or pulling it or sticking together and it tore off easily! Gee....great news!

The next products I got to review were Duck GeckoTech Reusable Hooks. I was sent two sizes, 3lbs and 5 lbs.


             



The hook below holds up to 3lb. I had the perfect place in mind for this and I was thrilled that it worked perfect! These microsuction hooks are great. They can be used over and over and easily attach to the surface you want to put them on such as painted surfaces, glass, stainless steel,  tile and more. In my opinion, these hooks are much easier to put up and use when compared to the Command 3-D hooks.


In my case, I used it on the bathroom door to hold our plastic bag holder. Before, the hook was just hanging on an old TV hook. But now I was able to quickly put it up on the bathroom door. The after picture  turned out blurry,  but I will take another after picture tomorrow so it won't be as blurry.)

Neenah Astrobrights Paper Review!

Oh boy, oh boy! I was absolutely thrilled when I was contacted by Shoplet.com to review some of the Neenah Astrobrights Paper! I was in heaven when that box arrived. My mind went wild thinking of all the wonderful things my students and I can do with this colorful paper! 

First up, I have to tell you about this fantastic color card stock! (In the picture it is on the right side.) The paper is just wonderful! The colors are awesome and bright. One of the things I did with this paper is write letters in black paint and make signs for the students to hold up and spell Thank You Donors! I have had lots of projects funded at www.donorschoose.org and I knew this would be bright and stand out in the pictures! 

The next pack of paper I received was this pretty and colorful copy paper. (In the picture, it is on left side.)  With this paper, we made a birthday book and crown for one of the students that celebrated his birthday. The book was filled with colorful happy birthday wishes for him to enjoy!

Check Out New Smead Products!

   

Oh boy! I am so excited to share some products with you from Smead! I was tickled pink when I was contacted by Shoplet.com to review these items. I never knew there were so many office supplies that were erasable. Teachers dreams have come true everywhere!

 Shoplet.com is a great online store that has lots of office supplies as well as other items. It is a great place to shop online!Well, I was not let down in any way at all! I love learning about things I can use in my classroom to make my life easier! 

First up,  SuperTab Erasable Manila Folder. These are super heavy and will last for a few years I know. Can you believe they are erasable? 

Next FasTab Hanging Erasable Folder . I love colors and these are great! Just perfect for your hanging files and now they are erasable too! 

Vertical File Folder  I can't do these justice with words. Simply Genius! Vertical or Horizontal-take your pick! 

Last but not least....Step Index Organizer  This has been my favorite thing so far! I have been able to put it to great use already! It is large enough so that I can actually find what I am looking for! It holds my thematic papers for the take home bags my students have started using.

Shoplet.com Review of Pilot Pens

 

Hi all! I wanted to tell you about some neat pens I was contacted to review by Shoplet.com. I love good pens and this review was right up my ally! Shoplet.com is a great online store that has lots of office supplies as well as other items. It is a great place to shop online!

 

Pilot FriXion Clicker Erasable Gel Pen   This is a great pen. It is erasable too!

 

Frixion Highlighter  Not only is this highlighter erasable, but it was perfect for reading through and marking things I didn’t want to forget!

 

Pilot B2P Gel Rolling Ball  I think these are the neatest pens ever! I love the 0.7 fine point and all the cool colors. They write so smooth! Not only do you get a great pen, but when you buy this product, you are going green since they are recycled!

 

Pilot BeGreen B2P Bottle Gel Rolling Ball Here is the same pen above but it is in black. How many times do we have to fill out papers and sign them with a black pen. Well, look no further. This gel pen just glides across the paper!

 

Pilot B2P Recycled Ballpoint Pen Well they also have this fabulous pen in blue ink! It is just as great as the black and the color pens!

 

Pilot Acroball Pen Fine Point  This is a blue ink pen. This pen has a textured grip as well as the wonderful gel ink. The really great thing about this pen is it dries quick and is refillable.

 

I love how Pilot is making products and thinking about the importance of being able to refill the pen.

Ebay Anyone?

I remember a few years ago there was a yahoo group called, teachers bargain basement. This was a great site for teachers to post things they had for sale. I really miss it! Well, now I find myself going to ebay and looking for things to buy for my students. If you have items for sale on ebay, please leave a comment so we can check them out!

It's a Letter Buddies Giveaway!

I just have to tell you about some books that I was able to review with my students.  When I got the email from Tara, I JUMPED at the chance and I am so glad I did! The company, Hameray Publishers, has done it again! They have a full set of materials in the Letter Buddies classroom set that you can go enter and possibly win on their website. 

I was able to select the books that I wanted to review. I went back and forth debating which set to ask for and finally settled on the Letter Buddies Starter set. Can we say JACKPOT?  Here is what was in my package! 

The Letter Buddies Starters titles are used in correspondence to the Letter Buddies Letter Books. Using the same vocabulary, the Starters places each word within the context of a sentence. This is a great way to reinforce what students learned with the Letter Books. (24 Titles)

 One of the things I absolutely LOVE are the wonderful non-fiction pictures. I also love that the sentences are written with one line and some have two lines....in the same book!  

Extension activities are included at the end of each book.  I will probably send use them for students to read at home and I was thinking I could make up a little booklet for the students to write their answers and extend their learning.  

I do not think you would be disappointed with this set of books. My students have loved reading them during self-selected reading time. They are perfect for beginning readers and will be great for struggling readers who need a bit more help with letters and sounds.
