Liebster Award for ME?

Thank you so much to Allyce from Teaching and Life: At the Beach for giving me the Liebster Award! Yay! I am a horrible blogger, but I am making it a goal to do a better job in the upcoming year!

The Liebster Award goal's is to spotlight up-and-coming blogs with less than 200 followers. The rules are:

Holly Bloggy Christmas was Fabulous!

Wow, what more can I say about the Holly Bloggy Christmas event? I enjoyed getting to the opportunity to learn more about fellow teachers..... Caitlyn from Ms. Preppy and Sarah from Kindergarten Korner did a fabulous job with this Holly Bloggy Christmas party! I totally enjoyed it and cannot wait for next year. Thank you both for allowing so many teachers enjoy the giveaway as well as having a gift to open on Dec. 25! I was thrilled when I went to buy something for my Bloggy partner-Cheryl from Crayons & Curls! This is what I decided to buy for her because I didn't think she would have a student buy this for her.

 I have to admit that my Holly Bloggy gift was opened the day it arrived to my house...................I am so sorry, but my son LOVES opening boxes that come to our house. (Yes, he is 12 years old AND nosey so I have all of the online orders sent to my Mom and Dad's house so he won't open them.) 

Anyway, I was thrilled when I got to "finish" opening the box! My partner, Mrs. BeJune, sent me the cute gift below. I got a tupperware bowl full of Reese's-my favorite candy, some Shea Body Butter and Body Scrub from The Body Shop! Thank you so much, Debbie! I loved being a part of this online party and will definitely participate next year!

My Christmas Card...................and a Giveaway!

Well, I have had the absolute best Christmas break so far.  I wanted to share my Christmas card we sent to our family and friends as well as a giveaway. First of all, I have been blogging since June and so far I have over 100 followers.......YAY! Below is the Christmas card I made for our family and friends. The pictures are from:

1) from the Redskins/Dallas game in November. We went with the Homesley family, big Dallas fans! Well, the Cowboys won the game, but my hubby (a HUGE Redskin fan said this loss will help us in the draft so we'll see).

2) One of my hubby's favorite movies is The Hangover-I promise if you haven't watched this, you should. I didn't like it much the first time, but OM goodness, the more I watched it, the funnier it got!~Honestly! For Halloween went to a dress up party. Hubby dressed as Allen from the movie, our son dressed up but took his stuff off b/c it was too hot, and I dressed as Ellie Mae from The Beverly Hillbillies-I wanted to be comfy. Anyway we had a fabulous time. Ready to see our picture? Here it is:

 I know, get to to the good stuff, so here goes: I have a giveaway that is awesome...................a pencil sharpener!

I have been teaching for 18 years and so far, this sharpener is "all that"! It is the quietest sharpener I have had in my room. I truly do not know how many electric sharpeners I have gone through, but this one has staying power for sure! Another thing I really like about this sharpener is that my students just put their pencil in and turn the handle and they have a sharpened pencil. Yes, it is just like that!
